Cleaning Checklist
We want you to be able to receive your full tenancy deposit back once you have vacated your property. To help facilitate this, please read the following cleaning checklist - the biggest cause of deposit deduction made by landlords is because cleaning is required at the end of the tenancy. At the final inspection we will check: The front and rear of the house Make sure the front and rear of the house is clear of rubbish and litter and in good condition. Carpets Vacuum all carpets up to the edges as well as underneath all moveable furniture in every room. Floors All floors should be swept and mopped up to the edges of appliances and fittings in the kitchen and bathroom. For wooden and laminate flooring, please ensure that it is clean as well as underneath moveable furniture. Skirting All skirting boards should be wiped clean throughout the house. Bins Empty all bins and clean them thoroughly - special attention should be given to bathroom and kitchen bins. Smoke alarms, light fittings and vacuum cleaner: Please ensure there is a working light bulb in each fitting, and batteries in the smoke alarms and doorbells etc. If applicable, providing a new hoover bag is the responsibility of the tenant not the landlord. Lampshades Lampshades should be clean and dust free. Curtains Please ensure curtains, where provided, are clean and hung in the correct rooms. Windows All windows should be clean (inside) and free from condensation. Walls All walls in the property will be checked so ensure they are free from blu tack, tacks, sellotape and other fixing materials. Ceilings We will also check ceilings so ensure they are free from blu tack, tacks, sellotape and other fixing materials. Doors We will also check all doors so ensure they are free from blu tack, tacks, sellotape and other fixing materials.
